I was walking in ABC mall yesterday (Level 0), nothing specific in my head until I bumped in a new Macaroon house

Ladurée 001

The idea behind it is so cute, I mean the green wagon with yummy macaroon

LADUREE  doesn't only sell Macaroon, they also have tea, chocolate, ice cream, dragée, jam, lovely boxes and the cute shopping bags!

THE STORY OF THE LADUREE MACAROON

The story of the Ladurée macaroon starts with Pierre Desfontaines, second cousin of Louis Ernest Ladurée, who at the beginning of the 20th century first thought of taking two macaroon shells and joining them with a delicious ganache filling.

These small, round cakes, crisp on the outside, smooth and soft in the middle, are made every morning in Ladurée's "laboratory".

The pastry chefs measure out very precisely the required amounts of almonds, eggs and sugar, before adding one final ingredient, a pinch of unique "know-how", essential to the making of such delicacy.

With each new season, Ladurée pays tribute to its most famous creation by creating a new flavour.

The existing range of macaroons is always the starting point when a new one is created, as the variety of colours is as important as the range of flavours and a vital part of their appeal.

Other then Paris, London, Geneva, Lausanne, Monaco and Tokyo, Ladurée is also in Beirut.

One branch in ABC Ashrafieh Mall - L0

and a second branch in Down-town Foch street.

It opens from Monday to Saturday from 10h00 a.m. to 9h30 p.m.

and on Sundays from 11h00 a.m. till 9h30 p.m.

It's a ver small thing but "Beyrouth" is French. You are writing in English. You didn't refer to London as Londres or Geneva as Geneve, so why is Beirut, Beyrouth?

Chanty 22/05/2011 11:03

I'm French educated, so sometimes the French way comes first

Will correct it! Thank you for indicating it to me!

I absolutely LOVE Laudree! They opened in Kuwait when I was back there on holiday and I completely fell in love with they're desserts (especially the macroons!) I'm definitely heading down there
now.

It's usually really hard to try and get me to go to ABC (because it's always so crowded) but for Laudree, I will.

well you can try to go during the week, coz it gets really crowded during the weekend!
