About two weeks ago, I came to the office to see a surprise on my desk...It was from Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel! I was so excited to see what it was, I opened it and it was an invitation to a special treatment at their Luxurious Spa

I had my finals at university at that time, so I took an apointment on last Saturday when I had no more studying!

And the special treatment that I got was MANIPURA massage, part of their iLA TREATMENT, that is an Indian massage combining Yoga and Massage at the same time.

MANIPURA means beautiful, shining jewel in Sanskrit, it refers to the solar plexus (naval) chakra - our center of fire and sun energy that ignites health and vitality.

The  MANIPURA  massage starts with a full purifying and detoxfying body scrub, then after a quick shower with only water, it's followed by a special oil massage, then hot stones and at the end they focus on the stomach part because MANIPURA is considered as the centre of dynamism, energy, willpower and achievement which radiates prana throughout the entire human body. It is associated with the power of fire, and digestion. It is also associated with the sense of sight, and the action of movement. MANIPURA is "the center of etheric-psychic intuition: a vague or non-specific, sensual sense of knowing; a vague sense of size, shape, and intent of being".

So in a simple way, it takes all the stress out of your body and you feel extremely relaxed!

After having my  MANIPURA assage, I was so relaxed and wanted to lie down and enjoy my Inner Peace, so I laid down on a deck chair in a room opposite to the swimming pool and I got the chance to taste White tea and dried ginger. It was the first time I tasted them and I liked them

I had also acces to the Fitness Center, Pool, Sauna, Steam rooms and Jacuzzi, but of course after one hour and a half of relaxing massage I couldn't exercice at all! So I enjoyed the Sauna and Jacuzzi and went to relax more at the Pool!

There's a big varierty of other types of massages from the same category, iLA TREATMENT, for men and women:

There's the Facials:

- Rainforest Facial

- Purifying Facial for men

There's  the Rituals:

- ila Experience

- Bio-Rhythm Journey

- Pregnancy Balance

There's the Body Renewals:

- Body scrubs

- Kundalini Back massage

- Manipura Massage

And there's the Blessings:

- Hand Rejuvenator

- Foot Rejuvenator

There's also another type of massages available at the Spa of Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel, and that's the AYURVEDA.

Ayurveda is five thousand years of wisdom distilled into a system of practice aiming at detecting and removing or predicting and preventing mind and body imbalances before they manifest as diseases.

The methods of  Ayurveda are unique and universal; hence they have the answer to almost every ailment known to man. If you are tired, stressed and muscle-sore or simply need nurturing, Ayurveda is the ideal cure for you. Purely natural, its regiments are absolutely free of side effects.

Perfected over centuries, Ayurvedic treatments are timeless...

I want to THANK a lot Phoenicia Intercontinental Hotel for giving me the chance to try one of their best massages and for spending this relaxing day at their Luxurious Spa
