Kindness is the act or the state of being kind —ie. marked by goodness and charitable behaviour, mild disposition, pleasantness, tenderness and concern for others. It is known as a virtue, and recognized as a value in many cultures and religions.
According to book two of Aristotle's "Rhetoric" it is one of the emotions, which is defined as being "helpfulness towards some one in need, not in return for anything, nor for the advantage of the helper himself, but for that of the person helped".
Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche argued that kindness and love are the "most curative herbs and agents in human intercourse".
Kindness is considered to be one of the Knightly Virtues.

World kindness week is from November 8 till November 14
World kindness day is November 13
World Kindness Day evolved from a series of conferences in
1996-1997 in Japan by a group known as the World Kindness Movement.
These conferences brought together groups interested in promoting more kindness around the world. It culminated in the "Declaration of Kindness" on November 13,1997. With this declaration, a new and very special day was born.
Bloggers are challenged to participate and truly make a difference by performing "random acts of kindness" or "paying it forward."
