1- How long have you been blogging?

I used to have a blog in 2003. Then I stopped in 2006. Now I started the Banadoura pod cast, it’s been almost 10 weeks.

2- How many hours per day do you dedicate to the blog?

2 hours a week. That’s about 7200 seconds for seven days.
So if we divide 7200 bi 7, we get 1024 seconds. Wow, that’s one Killosecond a day!

It depends on my mood, some days I don’t even check it, others I spend a couple of hours cooking the post.

3- Has it been worth it so far?

I was thinking that once I start blogging I will be so famous and popular and chicks will start emailing me and asking me for dates w heik. So far nothing happened. Maybe I should hint somewhere on my blog that I am not taken? What do you think?

4- How many page views does your blog get daily?

Depends on the subject and the guest of the pod cast. The downloads mostly happen on Thursdays. For some episodes, I hit 1200 downloads. Usually less.

On a normal day I get around 200 unique views, on Sundays the number drops significantly

5- How many blogs do you have or write for currently?

Only the Banadoura pod cast.

6- How many hours do you dedicate to them every day?

I usually record my pod cast on location with the guests, and I edit them Wednesday night.

7- Do you think one needs to post daily to be successful?

I post only Thursday. But yes, in order to get those dates, I think it is far better to post on a daily basis.

Nope, quality beats quantity.. all the time

8- Is there an ideal posting frequency?

8Hz would be perfect! Use a de-esser!

It really depends on the blog material, if the blog is about solar eclipses for example, it wouldn’t make sense to… meanwhile if the blog is tech related, then yeah. even more than once a day…

9- What is the biggest blogging mistake you did?

For my pod cast, sometimes I can’t manage to get a perfect sound quality, due to the background noise on location. But once, it was my fault; I forgot to turn on the main mic! The final result was really bad.

10- What is the biggest mistake you see in blog designs?

In blog designs in general? I don’t like when people use so many colors and distracting background. I also don’t like animated gifs, and lame sunset pictures.

People blogging about topics they know $h!t about.

11- Twitter is a distraction or a good promotional tool?

Both. It is also a great way to meet new chicks!

Twitter is more than a “good promotional tool” it is a society on its own. Those who use twitter for publicity and marketing, they are definitely missing out, + I tend to unfollow such people

12- Do you think that any professional should have a blog?

Indeed. If you do not have an online presence, you do not exist!

Do you expect a carpenter to have a blog? No? that’s what I thought…He’s a professional after all!

13- If you could give an advice for a novice blogger, what would it be?

Don’t take it too seriously. Keep the experience fun. W ma t3ishouwa kteer :)

Stay impartial and react with your visitors.

14- What is the secret of your success, expressed in one word?

One word? Jagal
