The New French Manucure Couture - 2010

I always wondered if I can have a French Manicure but with different colors then the ordinary ones (White and Pink),

but all the beauticians were so traditional and no one would dare to do something different.

Until this Autumn when Yves Saint Laurent released their Fall 2010 Makeup collection Rock and Baroque, which is completely out of the ordinary.

This season French Manicure nail design is no longer limited to nails with pink paint and white tips!

For this season only, Yves Saint Laurent dresses nails in Couture colors with its new interpretation of the classic French Manicure.

These ''twin sets'' leave nails with an ultra-satin finish for an irresistibly chic color statement.

The collection includes following duos:

Belle du Jour in purple and turquoise colors,

Rive Gauche in red and Fuschia,

and Belle de Nuit a great combination of purple and gold, which is my favorite, it's stylish and classy at the same time!

I hate those hoochy mama fake french nails :/ they look so trashy most of the time. I'm glad they're not THAT popular here (compared to the states), people get the cute french here :) A couple of years back, my cousin in LA had gotten a colourful french manicure, it was darkish turquoise and white..it looked awesome :D I really love the YSL colours, my favorite colourful french are the last one(black) and the dark/light blue combo :)

Yeah me too, I prefer the simple & cute ones! I can't really imagine how women can manage to do their daily tasks with such long nails!

There is actually a peach and white one - where you put the peach as the line, which is cute. But I love a golden color with purple tips....very cute.

i love the nail styles ,the colors of Yves Saint laurent .but what i don't like is the artificial nails ,even though it is trendy and more convinient to the people who find it hard to grow their nails ,but for the long terms it is something that is not good for the healthy nails .
