MAISON RANA® is a young label inspired by beautiful things; art, music, architecture, culture, travel, and film… all attracting the designer, Rana Al-Basri Mouawad, and inspiring collections that come to life.
Following the success of "The Carnival" S/S12 Collection, MAISON RANA® proudly announces the preview launch of the new A/W12 Collection. Under the name of "OPES", this new collection is inspired by women, for women... translating the theme into hand-embroidered metal detailing with the MAISON RANA® trademark of minimalistic design.

With the use of silk lace, jersey, cotton and fabrics from Paris, this collection brings a mixture of designs suitable for the typical Middle Eastern pre-fall and fall weather.
I liked her designs, they're simple and chic at the same time. You just put on a dress and you're ready to go

During the Beirut Design week, which is dedicated to every Lebanese designer and Architect who wants to contribute in developping the design community in Beirut, I was invited to an event by the Mukhi sisters and also had the chance to attend the launch of the Zayan pop up store.
I checked-in at Mukhi Sisters on Foursquare and the lovely Maya found me and showed me their lovely shop and their lovely designs.
Mukhi Sisters -- the trio of sisters ( Maya, Meena and Zeenat Mukhi ) is making a splash with their witty, playful, eye-catching, elegant and contemporary designs.Their jewelry pieces are officially hot items, and they're being snatched up by the young and old, the jetsetters and the royalty.
A combination of creative spark and explosive originality defines the Mukhi Sisters aesthetic. Bold yet casual, elegant yet also capable of being irreverent, their pieces, such as the famous Braille bracelets for charity, make a statement everywhere they go.
Then I was introduced to Zayan Ghandour owner of the Zayan pop up store.
Zayan began designing limited edition one-off T-shirts while writing for the Daily Star newspaper before moving to Dubai in 2000 and retailing at one of the prominent multibrand boutiques. In 2004 she co-founded s*uce, an award winning fashion and lifestyle concept and soon assumed the role of head buyer and creative director. In 2011, Zayan returned to her true passion: fashion design, launching her eponymous label Zayan during Paris Fashion Week to great reviews.
By the second season Zayan was stocked in 14 locations worldwide. An established regional mentor for young talent, Zayan speaks regularly at luxury, fashion and design forums and has co-founded the fashion distribution agency, Two Scoops.
It was a fun event, with lovely music, merry cream, cotton candy, there was even a Harley Davidson display with beautiful models and lovely dresses by the designer Ronald Atallah
So if you're in Beirut Souks, don't hesitate to pass by these two shops and check their lovely collections!
Avantgarde is a boutique for women located in Jdeideh owned by the sweet Chirine and her mother.
Chirine choses carefully the collections from Paris, Italy, Spain and Turkey every three months.
She takes into consideration the different sizes, shapes and ages. She tries to find outfits that fits most of the women, uncovers the flaws and make the lady confortable with her body.
She also pays great attention when choosing the fabrics of the outfits and the finishings.
When the lady is buying an outfit from her shop, she wants her to look like a painting, elegant, classy and different.
She doesn't like darey outfits because she thinks that it takes down the vallue of the woman.
She tries her best to help every lady get what she wants and fits her at the same time.
For her, even a simple t-hirt has to be distinguished...
Avantgarde is located in New Jdeideh, Montelibano Center, facing City Mall.

Etam is an international clothes and underwear shop that was open in Lebanon in Hamra, Sodeco and ABC Achrafieh, but I don't know for what reasons all the branches closed more than couple of years ago
==> Until few months when Etam lingerie came back to CITYMALL - Dora
I always thought that Etam was a French brand, but I discovered today that the first shop opened in Germany in 1915 selling stockings in the heart of Berlin. Then in 1928 opened the first Etam store in Paris at 376, rue Saint-Honoré and it reached the Middle East in the 1990's.
In Spring 2009, Natalia Vadianova became the face of Etam, an icon in the world of fashion, she perfectly embodies the brand’s femininity and modernity through her passion, seduction and grace.
Etam Spring/Summer 2012 collection is full of colors: fuschia, red, lime, yellow, blue, black and beige...
Here are some pictures from the fashion show at Les Beaux-Arts de Paris that was help on January 23, 2012 in Paris, France.
What do you think about the brand? Have you ever went shopping there? Does it bring you memories?
I wore a nice t-shirt today and everyone seems to like it, so I thought why not share it with you

I got this lovely t-shirt from Ma petite Boutique, Achrafieh, Sassine Square. It's designed by the cute Arly and it's available in several colors! It goes well with jeans or shorts, depends on the heat
And as nail polish, I'm wearing today the Lavande Esquisse (#09) from Bourjois Paris
This nail polish is caracterized by it's gel texture and panoramic brush, which makes it easier to apply, and dries fast. It's available in 12 different shades, but i'm not sure if it's all available in Lebanon.
Happy Monday everyone
Kirsten Dunst is showing everywhere with the lovely Bulgari Spring / Summer 2012 "Le Gemme" sunglasses.
After two seasons, the actress returned as the poster girl of the traditional Italian house to present the new fashion eyewear line, jewelry and handbags.
The new Bvlgari fashion eyewear collection from the Spring/Summer 2012 was shown as sophisticated and timeless sunglasses frames with elegant shapes and precious details that make references to brand luxury jewelry.
Kirsten Dunst goes full-on goddess in one ad, her golden hair in an elegant upsweep and a billowing swath of purple fabric draped strategically across her dewy skin. Opulent jewels from Bulgari's Mediterranean Eden Collection—including the sexy Serpenti bracelet and flower-shaped earrings with green, orange, and violet gemstones—up the ethereal factor.
The collection qualifies for being in the most expensive eyewear of the world list. Price range starts at $25,000 and go up to $80,000. Of course they use real gemstones and 18Kt gold.
The photos for the Bvlgari spring-summer 2012 campaign were made by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
Have you seen the billboards? What do you think about the sunglasses collection?
